Many new patients who are suffering with headaches and/or migraines come to our clinic, in hopes that either Chiropractic or Laser treatments may be able to help them.
Headaches, and particularly migraines, and/or cluster headaches, etc. can be terrible and life-altering in some case.
Tension headaches, which are more of the garden-variety headache, respond very well to gentle, chiropractic adjustments that relieve pressure on the nerves that go up into the head and cause headaches.
When I diagnose a patient with headaches, I pay particular attention to the top 2 cervical vertebrae, C1 and C2, at the top portion of the neck. Many times, the root cause of headaches lie in those 2 nerve roots at the NECK, and this is commonly overlooked by doctors.
Usually, once properly diagnosed, via exam, xray, and/or MRI and/or CT scan, the headaches can be resolved either through adjustments, or if we are dealing with the more severe cousin of the tension headaches—-migraines and cluster headaches.
In these cases, the adjustments may not be enough, and I may recommend a trial of either spinal decompression and/or class IV deep tissue laser treatments in addition, or, instead of the adjustments.
Additionally, toxicity levels as well as hydration levels of the patient must be addressed for long-term success to occur.
In my clinical experience of over ten years, I rarely have taken on a case where the headache sufferer did not show dramatic improvement, if not total resolution of the headaches.
Can I help you? I don’t know the answer to that question without determining if you are a good candidate for each type of treatments, and which would be right for your individual case.
