WHY is it important to seek IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION following a CAR ACCIDENT? Immediate medical attention car accident
Unfortunately, up to twenty-five percent of people involved in a motor vehicle accident do not immediately take the ambulance to a hospital following an automobile accident. Immediate medical attention car accident https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10179207
When I ask patients why they refused the ambulance, they either did not initially feel any pain, were afraid of getting a large medical bill, or a combination of both.
This is truly scary because patients should not be assessing THEIR own medical status after a car accident! The trauma patient is: 1. Usually in shock from the incident and not in his right mind. 2. Not a medical professional (usually) and even if they are…they are not objective. You are not in the best frame of mind to evaluate your own status. 3. Even IF you feel great, you could have sustained a serious, even life-threatening injury. You should get IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION CAR ACCIDENT by going to the emergency room to be evaluated by trauma specialists. Does everybody remember the story of Natasha Richardson? She felt FINE after a skiing accident, and died the next day from an epidural hematoma. Immediate medical attention car accident https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/Movies/story?id=7119825&page=1
Also, the BILL is something that can be handled at a later date! You may opt to enlist the help of a local car accident attorney.

The important thing is YOUR HEALTH and YOUR LIFE!!
Many patients come into our clinic. They tell me that they haven’t been to the hospital or seen another doctor other than ME!!
Lucky for them I am a Trauma-Trained Chiropractor! I have dealt with thousands of accident patients over the last fourteen years in my practice in Manassas, Virginia. I know how to order the appropriate tests, be it x-rays, MRI, CT scans, Bone Scan, NCV/EMG, digitized x-rays, MRA, and Diagnostic Ultrasound. Most primary care physicians, physical therapists, and chiropractors DO NOT! They do not KNOW how and when to order each of these tests because they DO NOT HAVE TRAUMA TRAINING!! https://mychiropractormanassas.com/manassas-physical-therapy-dont-know-might-hurt/
It is best to go in the ambulance from the accident scene directly to the hospital. This way you will receive IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION CAR ACCIDENT by trauma physicians. This should be done prior to coming to our office.
I have asked Primary Care Physicians why they rarely order MRIs. The most common answer is that they do not know when the MRI is appropriate to order. Many primary care physicians went to school before MRI was an established test. Many PCPs did not receive training in this imaging modality.
As a result, MANY patients come to my office either misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed. This is due to the lack of trauma training that is pervasive in medicine and chiropractic today.
So…my advice to patients is to ALWAYS go in the ambulance to the hospital to be receive IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION CAR ACCIDENT.
Then come directly from the hospital to my clinic. I will personally perform a more detailed trauma-based examination on you, as well as any other occupants in the vehicle. IF you do not have health insurance, you may be covered under the automobile insurance or property / casualty insurance.
