Today there was about 15 inches of snow on my driveway, which being the man in the house, was my duty to remove.
Normally, I use something called a MANPLOW to do so. It’s a great tool that you can google. Its sort of if a snow plow and a shovel had a baby, then it would be the MANPLOW. Great product!
However, today, the snow was way too deep and wet for the Manplow to work. I had to use a good old-fashioned shovel and dig my way out in order to get to work. It took me about two hours, and I have a little townhouse driveway!!
I don’t know what people did with those big driveways, except maybe hire a service, IF they could get one on the phone!!
Anyway, I made it to the office and we ARE open and treating patients today, here in Manassas!!
A lot of people called to see if we are open, and are happy to be coming in because the snow has made their pains increase!!
I am treating a LOT of injuries today from shovelling snow, which hasnt happened since SnowMageddon four years ago!!
Back then I cautioned people to only shovel for about 15 minutes at a time, then rest for another 15 minutes, especially, If they dont normally excercise. If you are older, then do NOT attempt to shovel your own driveway!!!
HIRE a High School kid to do it either next door, or from Craigslist!! Do NOT do it yourself, or I may be seeing you in here on monday morning.
An easy way to trigger a heart attack is the overexertion from snow shoveling!! Not to mention causing severe subluxation, or misalignment of your back!!
Stay safe on the roads out there and be careful of the ice also. Yaktrax are mgreat fall prevention products that I use personally.
